Job summary

TYLin International is seeking engineering designer interns to support water infrastructure projects. You will assist in creating drawings, reports, and specifications for sanitary and storm sewers and watermains, with exposure to feasibility studies and permitting processes.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Civil or Environmental Engineering degrees and are eager to learn and collaborate on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce quality results.
• Willingness to learn new software and apply it.

Responsibilities

• Create conceptual, preliminary and detailed engineering drawings including Plan and Profiles through AutoCAD Civil3D, engineering reports, calculations, specifications and cost estimates for water and wastewater projects.
• Perform calculations and analysis for design of sanitary and storm sewers and watermains.
• Assist project team with feasibility studies and functional plans.
• Help obtain permits and approvals to proceed with construction.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for industry standards and shop drawings.
• Work on multiple projects across different phases.
• Assist with contract administration and construction inspection duties as required.
• Support business development efforts including proposals and time task matrices.
