Job summary

TYLin is seeking an Engineering Designer Intern for Roads & Highways. The role supports quantity take-offs, project monitoring and scheduling, computer modeling, progress reporting, and the preparation of drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under senior supervision.

Ideal candidates are third-year Civil Engineering undergraduates with strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Word/Excel is required; AutoCAD/Civil 3D/MicroStation preferred.

Qualifications

• Current 3rd year standing in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or MicroStation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist project monitoring.
• Support scheduling, computer modeling, and progress reports.
• Produce engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under supervision.
• Attend site visits and collaborate with engineers and drafters.
