Job summary

Think Consulting seeks an experienced Program Manager in the Greater Phoenix area to own the engineering delivery schedule for software, FPGA, and hardware programs. This planning and execution role requires turning ambiguous initiatives into executable plans and coordinating software, hardware, and production milestones.

Reporting to the VP of Software Engineering, you will drive dependencies, manage risks, oversee subcontractors, and help teams adopt disciplined planning standards while

Qualifications

• Deliver complex multi-discipline programs on schedule amid uncertainty.
• Foundations in software or systems engineering to assess estimates and risk.
• Able to influence senior engineers without direct authority.
• Experience managing subcontractors and vendors to schedule and quality.
• Familiar with waterfall/stage-gate, and capable of applying Agile where suitable.
• Proficient with schedule/tracking tools and building lightweight automations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the master schedule for programs across software, FPGA, hardware, and production
• Map and manage dependencies between teams to avoid blockers
• Maintain risk/issue log and escalate schedule threats early
• Collaborate with leads to break design decisions into tasks and milestones
• Lead re-planning or resource shifts as needed
• Oversee subcontractors and vendors with delivery criteria and dates
• Act as main engineering point of contact across software, FPGA/hardware, manufacturing and program management
• Run milestone and schedule-health reviews focused on blockers
• Ensure docs, test results, and build artifacts meet production-entry criteria
• Report status and forecasts to engineering leadership on cadence
• Establish and refine planning standards and coach Project Engineers
• Use AI tools to build automations and dashboards for tracking and reporting
