Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Engineering Associate in Mansfield, MA to support the engineering and contract teams with technical coordination, documentation, and product data management. You will enable accurate customer quoting, order fulfillment, and efficient engineering operations.

Responsibilities include reviewing requests, coordinating quotes-to-orders, maintaining records, and supporting new part data. A technical degree and manufacturing experience are preferred; familiarity with PDM and ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in engineering or similar technical field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated technical writing skills.
• Knowledge of ASME/ASTM materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requests and technical documentation to support timely and accurate parts quotations.
• Analyze product specifications and part requirements to ensure accurate technical information during quoting.
• Coordinate with contracts and planning to communicate quote progress and transition to order processing.
• Maintain organized documentation and records for traceability and follow-up on inquiries.
• Review part data to identify discrepancies and coordinate updates in system records.
• Support introduction of new parts by establishing item data and coordinating reviews.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation for parts, testing, and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation practices and workflows.
• Direct experience with product data management (PDM) and document control.
• Working knowledge of Solidworks, Windchill, Oracle, or similar software and ERP systems.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Microsoft Word and Excel.
