Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Higher Education, HR, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year in career services, HR, recruiting, or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of employer recruiting strategies and job-market trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide career counseling and advising to students in person and remotely.
• Manage student appointments, events, reporting, and Handshake CRM usage.
• Support resume, job applications, interview prep, and employment-readiness planning.
• Assist in employer recruitment, outreach for events and postings.
• Plan and execute VCC events and assess programs for improvement.
• Document advising activity and track client engagement.
