Job summary

Adecco is partnering with a global manufacturing organization in Farmington Hills to add an Engineering Coordinator to the engineering team. This hands‑on role supports manufacturing projects, drawings and documentation while helping improve processes, tooling, equipment and performance.

The candidate will create and maintain drawings, support CAD workflows, conduct time studies and coordinate with engineers, technicians, suppliers and production teams to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or technical education in mechanical/manufacturing/industrial engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in manufacturing, machining, engineering, or technical environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Ability to read blueprints, GD&T.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Familiarity with PFMEA or APQP is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Support CAD drawings for manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment and layouts.
• Conduct time studies and identify opportunities to improve cycle times and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot tooling and manufacturing process issues with engineering and production teams.
• Support projects involving production lines, equipment upgrades and layouts.
• Assist with process flows, PFMEAs, control plans and other manufacturing documentation.
• Participate in new product and manufacturing launch activities.
• Maintain accurate engineering drawings, specifications and revision documentation.
• Support corrective actions related to cost, quality and delivery.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, suppliers and production personnel.
• Develop and maintain shop-floor work instructions and process documentation.

We are partnering with an established global manufacturing organization in the Farmington Hills area that is adding an Engineering Coordinator to its engineering team.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with a manufacturing engineering, CAD/design, or technical background who enjoys working directly with engineering and production. The Engineering Coordinator will support manufacturing projects, drawings and documentation while helping improve processes, tooling, equipment and production performance.

What You'll Do

• Create, update and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation

What We're Looking For

• Degree, diploma, or technical education in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, machining, engineering or technical environment
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD/3D modeling software
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings and GD&T
• Understanding of manufacturing and/or machining processes
• Experience supporting tooling, equipment, layouts or manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with PFMEA, control plans and APQP is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, technicians, suppliers and production teams
