Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Engineering Coordinator in Anaheim, CA to maintain engineering documentation accuracy and data workflows. You will administer PDM/PLM systems, review drawings, and ensure data integrity across BOMs and metadata to support design teams.

Engineering Coordinator
Job Description

Join the team behind the data that powers innovation. As an Engineering Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the accuracy, quality, and reliability of engineering documentation and product data. From managing PDM/PLM systems to reviewing engineering drawings and supporting critical data workflows, you’ll help ensure engineers have the information they need to bring ideas to life.

Responsibilities
  • Review engineering drawings and models for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to drafting standards, title-block requirements, and naming conventions before release.
  • Administer the PDM/PLM system, including data storage, revision control, engineering change orders (ECOs), and the release process.
  • Maintain the integrity of part numbers, bills of materials, metadata, and document records to ensure information stays consistent and easy to find.
  • Support and enforce data-management workflows, permissions, and best practices for the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to correct nonconforming data and resolve release or check-in/check-out issues.
  • Document and improve standards, procedures, and templates for engineering data and drawing quality.
Essential Skills
  • Associate or bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in engineering, drafting and design, or a related technical field.
  • One to three years of experience in an engineering data, drafting, document control, or coordinator role (internships count).
  • Familiarity with dimensioning, drawing standards, and reading mechanical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined, organized approach to managing data and records.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work across engineering and other teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with PDM/PLM systems like Vault or Fusion Manage.
  • Exposure to engineering change management and release processes.
Work Environment

The work environment is collaborative, requiring interaction with various teams to ensure data integrity and compliance with engineering standards. You will use advanced PDM/PLM systems to manage data storage and engineering workflows. The role demands attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
