Job summary

ERM in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking a Consultant, Engineering to deliver civil and environmental design and field support across energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects. This role blends office analysis with hands-on field activities and travel across a wide geographic area.

You will contribute to site plans, stormwater management, permitting, and reports while collaborating with planners, scientists, and engineers in a remote/hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in civil/environmental engineering or related field.
• Ability to research and prepare technical memorandums and reports.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication for collaboration.
• Driver's license required; travel to client locations across a large area.

Responsibilities

• Work in a remote/hybrid environment with clear communication on schedules and deliverables.
• Assist in civil/environmental design and project support, including site plans.
• Develop erosion and sediment control, stormwater, and permitting plans.
• Participate in field work, sampling, construction monitoring, and reporting.
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects across diverse geographies and ensure HSE compliance.
