Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC invites applications for a Co-Op Student in Engineering. You will gain experience with practical engineering tasks in the utility industry, under supervision, and collaborate on diverse projects with engineers and associates.

Responsibilities include interfacing with customers, designing distribution facilities, supporting outage restoration, and performing studies using computer-based tools. Work is ~50% in office and ~50% in the field in Clinton, MS.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering; sophomore or beyond.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale with official transcript.

Responsibilities

• Interface with external Customers to provide electric service.
• Design electric distribution facilities and perform engineering studies using computer-based systems.
• Work as part of a cross-functional team to meet customer needs.
• Assist in outage restoration efforts as needed.
• Work is 50% in office and 50% out of office, year around.
• Work assignment complexity grows with tenure of student employees.
• Performs other duties as directed by management.
• Must be available to work full-time during designated co‑op semesters.
