Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking a Co-op Student to gain experience in practical engineering applications within the utility industry, working with engineers and associates on a variety of projects and interfacing with customers to provide electric service.

This role is approximately 50% office and 50% field, focusing on design of electric distribution facilities, engineering studies using computer-based systems, and collaboration with a cross-functional team to meet customer needs while

Qualifications

Seeking Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering majors to work a full-time schedule during designated semesters.
Must be currently enrolled in school full-time pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
GPA of 2.8 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

Responsibilities

Interface with external Customers to provide electric service.
Design electric distribution facilities and perform engineering studies using computer based systems.
Work as part of a cross-functional Team to meet the needs of Customers.
Assist in outage restoration efforts as needed.
Work is approximately 50% in office and 50% out of office, year around.
Work assignment complexity and responsibility grows with tenure of student employees.
Performs other duties as directed by management.
