Job summary

Sartori Company in Plymouth, WI, is seeking an Engineering Co-op to support the Engineering group with data collection, analysis, and production improvements. You will learn about multiple production lines at the Sartori Whey site and may assist other Plymouth facilities.

Position runs late May/June 2027 to December 2027, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with flexible start/end times. Responsibilities include time studies, waste measurement, CAD work, and developing process instructions while applying

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to interpret data and apply analytical thinking.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with CAD software is preferred.
• Previous internship/co-op or manufacturing/engineering experience is preferred.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or process optimization is preferred.
• Experience with data analysis or reporting tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs process time studies to determine current performance and identify improvements.
• Identifies and measures waste to determine scrap rates.
• Field measures machine layouts and line processes.
• Redesigns or modifies machine components as needed.
• Creates or updates process work instructions.
• Supports R&D production testing for new products.
• Applies lean manufacturing principles.
• Searches databases/catalogs/manuals for machine details to support projects.
• Establishes credibility with team members and communicates effectively.
