Job summary

AptarGroup, Inc. is seeking a cooperative student to support the operations team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at the Mukwonago, WI facility.

You will help conduct time studies, participate in continuous improvement efforts and assist in developing efficient cell layouts to reduce waste. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, teamwork, and the ability to learn AutoCAD and advanced Excel while contributing to uptime, quality and safety goals.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a mechanical/industrial engineering or other relevant manufacturing degree.
• Quick learner and able to operate in a fast-paced work environment.
• Self-motivated and confident, with the ability to take initiative.
• Ability to work effectively on teams and independently.
• Experience with or willingness to learn AutoCAD & Advanced Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage many work streams simultaneously.
• Strong experience with computers (especially MS Word, Excel, Project & Power Point).
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the operations team.
• Execute time studies to identify wastes in manufacturing processes.
• Participate in Aptar's continuous improvement process using problem solving techniques.
• Perform root cause analysis to aid in solving problems in operations.
• Lead projects to improve manufacturing efficiencies throughout the plant.
• Support the operations manager in day-to-day tasks to maximize uptime, quality and safety.
• Develop new cell layouts to aid operators and eliminate waste.
