Job summary

The State of Illinois is seeking an Associate CADD & Design Technician to perform computer aided design and drafting for bridge and traffic structures. The role requires basic CAD work and understanding of structural drawings, with in-state travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of college in civil engineering technology, pre-engineering or related field plus 12 months engineering experience OR four years engineering experience.
• Experience with CADD software and ability to read/interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work with staff across teams.

Responsibilities

• Produces basic CAD drawings for simple to moderate structures.
• Creates structural base sheets and standard drawings.
• Keeps current with CADD system and structural policies.
