Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking an Engineering Applications Lead to own and govern the firm’s engineering application portfolio. You will coordinate support, upgrades, and continuous improvement across major design platforms, partnering with engineering leadership and vendors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
7+ years of experience supporting, administering, or managing engineering/design applications.
Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360, ACC, Forma.
Experience with application lifecycle management including upgrades and version control.
Experience managing stakeholder priorities and vendor relationships.
Experience leading support processes and platform governance.
Experience with software configuration and environment standards across engineering platforms.
Strong communication, documentation, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Experience with incident, problem, and change management preferred.
Experience with automation tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

Own the operational health and service delivery model for the engineering applications portfolio.
Establish and maintain support processes, service expectations, escalation paths, and operating rhythms.
Partner with Engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to define priorities and align services.
Monitor service performance, recurring issues, and portfolio risks to improve stability.
Maintain visibility into application health, incidents, upgrade readiness, and metrics.
Lead response coordination for major issues and ensure proper escalation and resolution.
Establish incident, problem, and change management practices for the portfolio.
Identify support trends and drive root-cause analyses and actions.
Balance urgent production support with maintenance and upgrades.
Ensure documentation exists for procedures, known issues, changes, and dependencies.
Oversee lifecycle management: version planning, patching, upgrades, retirement.
Coordinate release calendars, testing readiness, deployment planning, and communication.
Collaborate with vendors on support, roadmap visibility, licensing, and upgrades.
Ensure governance and security alignment with standards.
