Job summary

Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Analyst to support project managers and senior engineers on condition assessment projects involving power plant equipment.

You will help evaluate failure mechanisms, prioritize inspections, and determine remaining life of critical components. You will create solid models in SolidWorks, perform thermal and structural analyses with ANSYS/Abaqus, and assist with ASME calculations and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 0–3 years of engineering experience preferred.
  • Interest in mechanical systems and solving complex problems.
  • Familiarity with ANSYS, Abaqus, and SolidWorks preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with engineering analysis and condition assessment projects involving power plant and industrial mechanical components.
  • Create representative solid models and drawings of equipment using SolidWorks or other software.
  • Perform thermal and structural finite element analyses using ANSYS and Abaqus.
  • Support ASME Code calculations, fitness-for-service evaluations, and remaining life assessments.
  • Work with engineering and inspection data to evaluate component condition, damage mechanisms, and inspection priorities.
  • Assist with field assessments at customer sites, including nondestructive examination activities.
  • Prepare and contribute to technical reports, calculations, and client presentations documenting findings and recommendations.
  • Support project execution activities, including data review, documentation, and coordination with teams.
  • Assist with internal engineering initiatives focused on process improvement and technical quality enhancements.
