Job summary

RTX in McKinney, Texas is seeking an Engineering Technician to standardize test sustainment processes, train technicians, and lead continuous improvement in test operations. The role requires evaluating schematics, fault isolation, and collaboration across engineering teams to ensure reliable device testing.

The candidate will work onsite, use advanced test equipment, and drive corrective actions while supporting risk management activities.

Qualifications

• Must have a university degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience testing or troubleshooting electronic assemblies at the component level.
• Experience with test equipment including DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, RF equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive the standardization of test sustainment processes and procedures through technical documentation and the analysis of Standard Work Sheets.
• Provide training to other Engineering Technicians and/or Acceptance Technicians.
• Eliminate waste through continuous improvement projects.
• Document and/or develop troubleshoot flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
• Evaluate schematics and test capabilities to make design and test recommendations for fault isolation.
• Collaborate across multiple functions within operations and engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot and provides accurate troubleshoot instructions for the Device Under Test or prime hardware.
• Create and maintenance of spare lists and test equipment obsolescence plan.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans.
• Perform risk assessments and supports the programs risk register reviews.
