Job summary

Imperial Irrigation District seeks a technically skilled engineer assistant to support telecommunication systems design under general supervision. You will assist in designing equipment, and contribute to project coordination and technical drafting.

The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and plotting AutoCAD drawings and schematics, inspecting construction, modification, and maintenance work on telecom assets, and performing related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school equivalency with supplemental courses in engineering, drafting, computer graphics, and advanced mathematics, and one year of appropriate automated drafting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of telecommunications systems and equipment.
• Develop, maintain, and plot AutoCAD drawings and schematics.
• Investigate and inspect telecommunication equipment construction, modification, and maintenance projects.
