Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking an experienced technician to repair or assemble electrical components for production aircraft support. You will provide technical support to engineers, create engineering documentation, and record test data for analysis.

You will fabricate electronic/electrical chassis and mechanical racks from development drawings, using hand tools and SMT processes as needed. AA in Electrical or Electronics preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of J-STD-001 and IPC-610 processes.
• Hands-on experience with surface mount technology and hand soldering.
• Familiarity with electronic hand tools used in manufacturing.
• Ability to follow complex work instructions and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Repair or assembly of electrical components for production aircraft support.

Job description

Primary responsibility is repair or assembly of electrical components in support of production aircraft. Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis. Consist of engineering hardware fabrication support, troubleshooting, testing and basic Laboratory operations responsibility. Some climbing on ladders may be required as well as lifting up to 25lbs. These responsibilities will include fabrication of electronic/electrical chassis' and mechanical rack fabrication using development engineering drawings. Candidate must be capable of working independently, discussing technical issues with customers and working with vendors. An AA in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is highly preferred.

Major Skills
