Job summary

Imperial Irrigation District is seeking an engineering support technician under general supervision to assist in designing telecommunications systems, develop AutoCAD drawings, and inspect related construction and maintenance projects. The role involves plotting schematics, supporting installation tasks, and performing a broad range of engineering support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school equivalency with supplemental courses in engineering, drafting, computer graphics, and/or advanced mathematics, and one year of appropriate automated drafting experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of telecommunications systems and equipment.
• Develop, maintain, and plot AutoCAD drawings and schematics.
• Investigate and inspect telecommunication equipment construction, modification, and maintenance projects.
