Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking an Engineering Aide in Orlando, FL to support engineers, gather data, and prepare documentation and drawings.

The role involves working with various technical tasks and may include testing and data recording to aid engineering evaluation. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in fabrication environments and MIL STD solder/harness certification, plus proficiency with Microsoft tools.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in fabrication environments (cable/harness, SMT board fabrication, or military design maintenance).
• Prior MIL STD solder/harness certification is required.
• Experience fabricating electrical equipment from blueprints/schematics/engineering guides.
• Experience communicating issues with design/process to management/engineers; ability to write and present clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.
• Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data and results.
• Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, schematics).
• Perform calculations and preliminary analyses using established guidelines.
• Use PC tools to develop analyses and documentation; assist in testing and data recording.

Engineering Aide

Pay Range: $32-38

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience may be in other fabrication environments including cable and harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design product.

Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience Prior Certification in solder and harness capability to MIL STD requirements.

Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience fabricating electrical equipment designed from a blueprint, schematic, and engineering guides.

Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience communicating issues (both verbal and written) with the design and/or the process requirements to management and or engineers.

Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience with utilizing software tools and Microsoft products

Desired Skills:

• Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721
• Experience in procurement and acquisition of test materials
• Experience interpreting and building to CLIENT Test Equipment engineering
• Self-starter able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
