Butler America Aerospace, LLC is seeking an Electronics Engineering Technician for the Bell Flight Plant in Fort Worth, TX. Responsibilities include fabricating cables, assembling test stations, and troubleshooting lab equipment.

The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree or equivalent experience, strong wiring and soldering skills, and familiarity with ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, and SMT board mods; U.S. Citizenship required.

Qualifikationen

• Crimp and assemble connector contacts and cable assemblies.
• Solder to the J-STD; J-STD certification is a plus.
• Read aircraft level wiring diagrams.
• Read mechanical drawings for metal fabrication.
• Familiar with test equipment, troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience wiring serial data interfaces ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS422, RS232, Ethernet, IEEE-488.
• Experience installing fiberoptic cabling for reflective memory hardware.
• Ability to use hand tools and shop equipment safely.
• Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with ESD procedures and FOD practices.

Description

A contractor position for an Engineering Technician is available in the Electronic Development Lab. This position will be located at the Bell Flight Plant 1 Fort Worth, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricating interconnecting cables and harnesses based on engineering drawings.
• Reading manufacturing drawings to assemble test stations or aircraft assemblies (Black Boxes).
• Performing troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of test bench and lab infrastructure equipment.
• Work with SMT equipment and performing Mods to SMT circuit boards.

Skills Required:

• Good communication skills both oral and written.
• Must be a team player, work well with others.
• Ability to crimp and assemble connector contacts and cable assemblies to aircraft standards.
• Ability to solder to the J-STD. Having a J-STD certification is a plus.
• Able to read and understand aircraft level wiring diagrams.
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings and diagrams for metal fabrication and assemblies.
• Familiar with the use of test equipment, trouble shooting and repair of wiring, and isolation .
• Experience wiring serial data interfaces including ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS422, RS232, Ethernet, IEEE-488.
• Experience installing fiberoptic cabling for reflective memory hardware.
• Ability to properly use in a safe manner hand tools and shop equipment (Powered and Unpowered - Hand drills, wire crimpers, wire strippers and soldering tools).
• Physical strength - ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined areas for extended periods of time.
• Familiarity of ESD procedures and FOD practices.

Education:

• Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
• High School diploma

Experience:

• Industry: Technical 5 years minimum
• Military experience in related aircraft/systems maintenance and support is a plus

Citizenship:

• U.S. Citizen
