Job summary

University of Washington seeks a Lead Academic Adviser to oversee the Engineering Peer Educator program and deliver advising to first-year Engineering Undeclared students. You will coordinate with program managers and campus partners to guide students through exploration, planning, and progression into engineering majors.

You will provide one-on-one advising, quick drop-in sessions, and outreach to ensure students meet continuation requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, science, engineering, humanities or related field.
• Minimum four years of advising, student program management, and/or teaching experience.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may not substitute for minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Engineering Peer Educator (EPE) program and related initiatives.
• Provide one-on-one advising for a caseload of ~250 Engineering Undeclared students.
• Offer Quick Question drop-in advising and holistic student services.
• Collaborate with campus units and review placement forms to support major placement.
• Support enrollment and program updates for four-year engineering plans.
