Job summary

University of Connecticut's College of Engineering seeks a full-time Academic Advisor 2 on the Storrs campus. The role focuses on mandatory advising for all students, monitoring degree progress for ABET accreditation, and supporting student retention through targeted programs.

The advisor will work in the Engineering Undergraduate Center with a team of professionals, handling a caseload of 250-350 students and coordinating with faculty and campus partners to ensure high levels of student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree with direct advising experience.
• Experience advising STEM undergraduates is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse student interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide hybrid on-campus academic advising for Engineering undergraduates.
• Develop plans of study and course sequencing for students and support their academic goals.
• Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and campus partners to promote student success.
