Job summary

J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Henrico, VA seeks part-time Engineering Adjunct Instructors to teach onsite courses and support dual enrollment.

This position supports a diverse student population and focuses on hands-on engineering concepts. Candidates must hold a Master’s in Engineering (or Master’s with 18 graduate hours) and have experience in course development, online instruction, and working with multicultural populations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering; or Master's with eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in Engineering.
• Knowledge of instructional technology applications such as Canvas LMS.
• Related teaching experience in college-level courses including occupational-technical or transfer courses.
• Demonstrated ability to develop courses and work with culturally diverse populations.
• Online course instruction experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned onsite courses and participate in dual enrollment programs.
• Develop and deliver engineering course content and assessment.

Job Description:

Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Part-time adjunct teaching faculty-ranked appointment. Candidates will be considered for both Reynolds onsite courses and dual enrollment program.

Minimum Qualifications:
