Southern State Community College seeks an Adjunct Faculty member in Engineering for Central Campus Evening Classes. The part-time role reports to the Dean of Student Affairs and supports Academic Affairs.
The position requires teaching electrical or industrial engineering courses, maintaining current subject knowledge, and adhering to college policies. Evening schedule and campus-based work are expected.

Engage students in the teaching/learning process for introductory and intermediate electrical and or mechanical Engineering courses.

Classroom Extron and mobile projection systems; computer; printer; copier; fax machine; telephone; other standard office equipment; various electrical testing and other engineering lab equipment.
Non-public personnel records and issues; student and other information covered by FERPA guidelines and agreed to in the College's FERPA Confidentiality Agreement.
Good classroom working conditions. The work requires the use of safe work practices with office, classroom and laboratory equipment, and observance of safety regulations.

An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering. Preferred candidates will have at least five years of industrialexperience and one year of experience teaching college level Engineering courses. Must be certified to teach online or become certified prior to start date. Applicant must successfully pass required background checks in accordance with Southern State Community College's policies and procedures and applicable laws. Ability to document identity and employment eligibility as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
