Midway Products Group, Inc. in Monroe, MI is seeking an on-site Staff Accountant to support the Engineering accounting functions.

The role covers tooling cards, payables, receivables, pricing updates, and AR reconciliation, with close collaboration across engineering, sales, and accounting teams. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least three years of accounting experience, strong Excel and Access skills, and a solid eye for detail.

Description

POSITION SUMMARY

• Responsible for the financial accounting functions of Engineering.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Prepare and analyze monthly and year end tooling cards and reports
• Review, analysis and payment of tooling payables
• Create and review tooling accounts receivable
• Review and update part/piece price listing to agree with current purchase orders
• Responsible for updating ATPs
• Further establish procedures to accumulate necessary engineering changes
• Prepare LTA reduction analysis and spreadsheets for timely submission in All Numbers and AS400
• Work closely with accounts receivable assistants to identify and troubleshoot accounts receivable issues and forward results to the appropriate person(s) for resolution
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
• Create and maintain project cost spreadsheets, tooling PO and invoice databases
• Input AS400 pricing for production and service
• Prepare tooling and production piece price open items list
• Work with Sales Dept. and Engineering Dept. to resolve open items
• Track customer tool orders and PSW dates to invoice tooling
• Create and maintain “red files”
• Work with Quoting (Engineering Dept.) and Sales Dept. to clarify RFQ/ATP discrepancies
• Create and maintain All Numbers files, work order numbers from ATPs update and crosscheck with customer tool orders, PSW dates
• Prepare the monthly accounts receivable reports for Corporate MOS
• Perform other essential functions, as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting preferred or the equivalent experience
• A minimum of three years experience in accounting
