Job summary

CMC is seeking a civil/mechanical engineer to join our EP team. The role involves tracking projects, preparing budgets and drawings, issuing quotes, and coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.

You will maintain records in Smartsheet and support field operations through fabrication-ready submittals. You will engage in site visits as needed, ensuring project success from conception through delivery, while leveraging CAD tools and engineering drawings to meet client

Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling required; Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Parametric 3D modeling experience preferred.
• Experience with Smartsheet or similar PM tools preferred.
• Proven ability to oversee and coordinate projects from inception to completion.
• Excellent communication with engineers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project plans.

• Collaborate with EP Technical Sales to track and manage pipeline projects.
• Prepare budget estimates across EP product lines.
• Develop preliminary drawings for engineering review and potential inclusion in plans.
• Generate formal quotes for bid submissions.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deliver production drawing packages to core teams following approvals.
• Manage procurement of specialty items related to EP products.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities with production facilities.
• Support customers in partnership with our customer service representatives.
• Perform occasional job site visits to ensure project success.
• Keep Smartsheet updated with real-time project information throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is preferred; Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or a related technical field is an acceptable alternative.
• Experience in stormwater management, stormwater treatment, drainage infrastructure systems, or precast concrete manufacturing is beneficial.
