Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, agricultural, environmental, or water resources engineering and 10 years of experience.
• California Professional Engineer registration is required.
• Prior experience with multi‑faceted teams, public speaking, fieldwork and flood control in California is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Working with teammates in MBK’s practice areas to solve complex water resources problems.
• Managing small to mid-sized engineering projects; functioning as a competent specialist in one or more areas of expertise.
• Mentoring and developing positive relationships with junior team members interested in advancing the community of practice and serving a progressive and supportive client base with shared values.
• Researching and applying evolving technologies and identifying potential for improvements in task execution and engineering practice, specifically targeting items that promote accuracy and scalability of our work and its effective documentation.
• Developing strong analytical skills and strengths in water resources engineering topics which complement our services.
• Preparing detailed written memoranda and reports on technical assignments and presenting technical information to peers and clients, representing MBK and clients on multiple levels.
• Assisting clients to comply with changing flood control operations and maintenance standards, in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary team.

The annual salary for this position depends on experience: the range is: $120,363 to $170,851.
