Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking a full-time entry-level Engineer to join our Transportation group. The position requires 0-2 years of experience and offers exposure to municipal, county, and state transportation projects.

You will work under a licensed engineer to develop PS&E, create 3D design models, and assist with reports and feasibility studies. A BS in Civil Engineering is required, and an Engineer in Training certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
• Engineer in Training certificate preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and PowerGeoPAK SS4/OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Background check required.

SALARY RANGE

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $65,000 - $91,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
