Job summary

PACE Resources Federal Credit Union is looking for a full-time Transportation Engineer to eventually transition into a Project Manager. This role is based in Marlton, NJ, and includes responsibilities such as performing engineering calculations, developing design plans, and supporting project managers.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, EIT certification, and at least 3 years of experience in civil engineering. Opportunities to advance into Project Engineer roles are available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in transportation or civil engineering.
• Actively working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn from experienced Project Managers
• Develop Project Management skills such as: scope development, scheduling, and budgeting
• Perform and review engineering calculations for roadway and transportation projects
• Develop plans, profiles, and design drawings using MicroStation, and related design tools
• Work along with Project Managers in day-to-day project execution and client communication
• Participate in client and internal meetings to support project planning and delivery
• Respond to RFIs, review submittals, edit specifications, and contribute to cost estimates
• Conduct site visits, field reviews, and assist with construction-phase services
• Participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure quality and compliance with standards
• Work with Buchart Horn’s Business Development Unit supporting proposal development
• Fast track learning to increase responsibility for project components and coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• EIT certification required
• 3+ years of experience in transportation or civil engineering
• Actively working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
• Proficiency in MicroStation, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of state DOT design standards and AASHTO guidelines
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
