Akina, Inc. seeks an Engineer for TEMPEST, RF, cryptographic devices at Fort Meade, MD. TS/SCI with polygraph is required. You will test TEMPEST, recommend engineering changes, and work onsite with the customer team to safeguard critical systems.

You will collaborate with TEMPEST SMEs, review ECPs, and participate in technical meetings. A degree in engineering plus extensive TEMPEST experience is expected for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline
• 10+ years of related professional experience
• 3+ years of TEMPEST testing and/or TEMPEST manufacturing experience
• Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II)
• TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Responsabilités

Description:

You'll work with TEMPEST engineers and SMEs performing TEMPEST testing and providing TEMPEST engineering recommendations to help ensure the security of our nation's systems.

You'll learn from existing TEMPEST subject matter experts to grow your knowledge and skills, as well as share your TEMPEST expertise with others.

You'll work onsite with the customer, integrated into their team to ensure mission success.

• Ensure that TEMPEST testing requirements are defined by the customer's Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA).
• Evaluate engineering change proposal (ECP) packages to ensure the proposed changes do not impact the TEMPEST integrity of the device, or if necessary, additional TEMPEST testing is performed to recertify the device.
• Attend technical meetings with crypto device users/customers CSCM's and vendor partners.
• Provide TEMPEST lab testing of certified cryptographic devices to ensure it meets the current National TEMPEST standard.
• Perform TEMPEST field testing of cryptographic equipment to discover vulnerabilities in secure systems.
• Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support when a cryptographic device has a TEMPEST vulnerability.

Position Desired Skills:

• Military or IC experience in a relevant technical or RF field is preferred.
• Advanced degree may be preferred at this level.
• Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II)
• 3+ years of experience with TEMPEST testing, and/or TEMPEST manufacturing

Salary Range: $200k-$240k (Annually)
