2HB Incorporated is seeking a Tempest Engineer to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. You’ll work onsite with TEMPEST engineers and SMEs, performing TEMPEST testing and providing engineering recommendations to ensure the security of national systems.

The role involves collaborating with the CTTA-defined requirements, evaluating change packages for TEMPEST impact, and delivering SME support for vulnerabilities. A TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of related professional experience.
• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph security clearance required.
• Military or IC experience in a relevant technical or RF field is preferred.
• Relevant Bachelor's degree in a STEM field + 11 years System Engineering; Master’s degree + 9 years System Engineering; CTTP-II certification is preferred.
• Advanced degree may be preferred at this level.
• 3+ years of experience with TEMPEST testing, and/or TEMPEST manufacturing.

Responsabilités

• Define TEMPEST testing requirements as defined by the CTTA.
• Evaluate ECP packages to ensure TEMPEST integrity; initiate recertification testing if needed.
• Attend technical meetings with crypto device users/customers, CSCMs, and vendors.
• Provide TEMPEST lab testing of certified cryptographic devices to meet the current National TEMPEST standard.
• Perform TEMPEST field testing of cryptographic equipment to identify vulnerabilities.
• Provide SME support when a cryptographic device has a TEMPEST vulnerability.

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Tempest Engineer in order to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Position Description: As part of our team, you'll work with TEMPEST engineers and SMEs performing TEMPEST testing and provide TEMPEST engineering recommendations to help ensure the security of our nation's systems . You'll learn from our existing TEMPEST subject matter experts to grow your knowledge and skills, as well as share your TEMPEST expertise with others. You'll get to work onsite with the customer, integrated into their team to ensure mission success.

Role:

• Ensure that TEMPEST testing requirements are defined by the customer's Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA).


• Evaluate engineering change proposal (ECP) packages to ensure the proposed changes do not impact the TEMPEST integrity of the device, or if necessary, additional TEMPEST testing is performed to recertify the device.


• Attend technical meetings with crypto device users/customers CSCM's and vendor partners.


• Provide TEMPEST lab testing of certified cryptographic devices to ensure it meets the current National TEMPEST standard.


• Perform TEMPEST Field testing of cryptographic equipment to discover vulnerabilities in secure systems.


• Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support when a cryptographic device has a TEMPEST vulnerability.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline


• 10+ years of related professional experience


• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph security clearance required

PREFERRED

• Military or IC experience in a relevant technical or RF field is preferred.


• 10+ years of related professional experience; Experience may be substituted with education as follows: High School Diploma: + 15 years System Engineering Experience


• Relevant Bachelor's degree in a STEM field + 11 years System Engineering


• Relevant Master's degree in a STEM field + 9 years System Engineering


• Advanced degree may be preferred at this level


• Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II)


• 3+ years of experience with TEMPEST testing, and/or TEMPEST manufacturing
