Holder Construction is seeking an Engineer Technician in Training to join the Operations team on our Lancaster, TX project. This is a full-time position with on‑the‑job training and exposure to field supervision, surveying instruments, and construction layout.

Ideal candidates may have construction experience; overtime and weekend hours may be required. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel are essential.

About the Role

We are looking for an Engineer Technician in Training to join our Operations team on our project in Lancaster, TX. This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting Field Engineers in operating robotic total station instruments, autoleveland other surveying instruments.
• Perform construction layout by setting stakes, marking lines, elevations, grades, and reference points.
• This position will include on the job training.
• Maintain total station, field book, survey equipment and tools. Provide primary support to our field supervision and must demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues and lead team to complete daily tasks at the jobsite.

Physical Requirements :

• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials Layout equipment of all shapes and sizes weighing up to approximately 50lbs.
• Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
• Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
