Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Field Survey Technician to support field engineers with surveying tasks on active job sites. The role includes operating robotic total stations and auto level, establishing control points, and maintaining equipment while coordinating with field supervision and the crew.

The ideal candidate will have 6 months to 1 year of surveying experience, read construction drawings, and comply with OSHA 10 and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1 year of field surveying experience.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and follow safety protocols (OSHA 10, fall protection).
  • Able to stand or walk for long periods and lift 50–100 lbs., 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Field Engineers in operating robotic total station instruments and auto level.
  • Assist with establishing building control, markers, lines, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances.
  • Maintain total station, field book, survey equipment and tools.
  • Provide primary support to field supervision and lead team to complete daily tasks at site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting Field Engineers in operating robotic total station instruments and auto level and other surveying instruments.
  • Assisting with establishing building control, setting markers, lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances.
  • Maintain total station, field book, survey equipment and tools.
  • Provide primary support to our field supervision and must demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues and l ead team to complete daily tasks at jobsite.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Ideal candidates for this position willpossess6 mos. to 1 year of experience, able to read construction drawings and have training in construction safety protocols (i.e.OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform,boomand scissor).
  • Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
  • Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
  • Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time.

Preferred:

  • Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
  • Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
