Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer Systems in Orlando, FL with the Sentinel Training Devices Team to perform system engineering across the full lifecycle. You will translate customer requirements into complete system solutions, coordinating across hardware and software domains.

Role requires DoD Secret clearance, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and experience in requirements analysis and modeling using DOORS or Cameo. Relocation may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Conduct functional/timeline analyses and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware/software specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation for total systems, covering all phases from concept to disposal.
  • Convert customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that respect technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 2 years of related technical experience, or Master’s degree without prior experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements analysis, development, and management.
  • Proficiency with Rational DOORS or Cameo architecture development tool.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, including developers, analysts, and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with both DOORS and Cameo.
  • Demonstrated model‑based systems engineering experience.
  • Ability to develop and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies.
Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 – $118,900.00. The range serves as a general guideline; final offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and, for senior positions, long‑term incentives. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and personal business.
