Job summary

Williams-Sonoma seeks an Engineer Senior or Staff to lead large-scale projects in the energy sector. You will work independently, leverage industry expertise, and collaborate with leaders to drive innovative services while preparing presentations and mentoring team members.

You should bring ABET-accredited engineering education or PE-eligible credentials and a track record across natural gas or petrochemical environments; hybrid work options are available to support project needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university, or Engineering Technology with PE license.
  • Minimum eight (8) years in multifaceted engineering in natural gas or petrochemical industries.
  • PE Certification preferred and strong project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs sophisticated technical tasks and leads teams on major projects.
  • Develops and implements technical standards and specifications.
  • Interprets technical aspects to coordinate with leaders for project success.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to stakeholders.

As an Engineer Senior or Staff, you will apply your years of industry expertise and experience as you work independently on large-scale projects and anticipate business trends. You will collaborate with others to identify and develop innovative services or processes that address current and future customer needs and recommend improvements. Additionally, you will prepare and deliver presentations to leaders and may supervise team members in their work!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Performs sophisticated technical tasks and leads teams in projects of major scope and complexity
  • Participates in the development and implementation of technical standards and specifications
  • Interprets technological aspects of business and coordinates with leaders to ensure success
  • Prepares and delivers presentations
  • Applies expertise, knowledge and experience from projects that positively impacts earnings
  • Collaborates with others to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs
  • Handles resources requirements for projects
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Engineer Staff:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license; A minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry
Engineer Senior:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license; and a minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry
Other Requirements:
  • Able to work on engineering specialties covering more than one subject area
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Preferred: PE Certification
  • Preferred: Project Management experience
  • Travel up to 50%
