Williams in Houston seeks an Engineer Sr / Staff – Controls Engineering to lead design, integration, and commissioning of control systems across power generation, BESS, and energy infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable plant control solutions.
The role covers FEED through startup, developing control narratives, network architectures, and system testing to ensure high reliability.
As an Engineer Sr / Staff – Controls Engineering, you will lead the design, integration, and commissioning of control systems supporting power generation, battery energy storage (BESS), and other energy infrastructure projects. Working across the full project lifecycle, you'll partner with EPC contractors, OEMs, and cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient plant control solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
Engineer Sr: 8+ years of controls engineering experience in power generation, energy, or industrial facilities.
Engineer Staff: 15+ years of progressive controls engineering experience leading complex projects.
Preferred: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
Approximately 25%, with increased travel during commissioning and startup activities.
