Job summary

Williams is seeking a Technical Specialist (Controls) to join our Bowling Green, OH team. You will install, configure, and sustain advanced control systems across gas turbines, high-speed engines, and medium voltage distribution, focusing on automation, reliability, and safety.

You will troubleshoot and optimize DCS/PLC/HMI networks, collaborate with engineering and operations, and support commissioning and upgrades, driving continuous improvement in energy management and automation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in instrumentation, electrical, or automation technology.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in oil & gas or industrial automation.
• Valid state driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and industrial networking.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain DCS, PLCs, and HMIs for reliable performance.
• Troubleshoot, tune, and optimize control loops, instrumentation and networks.
• Support integration and operation of SCADA platforms and real-time data systems.
