Job summary

The Building People, LLC, is seeking an Engineer with an active Secret Clearance to support facilities planning, infrastructure evaluation, facility condition assessments, building automation systems, and campus modernization initiatives for a federal client in the Washington, DC area.

Key responsibilities include technical assessments of M/E/C/structural systems, FCA execution, designing specs and plans, supporting energy management, and regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience supporting federal facility engineering projects.
• Experience supporting operations and maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of federal building regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments of mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems.
• Evaluate facility conditions and develop recommendations for repairs and modernization.
• Develop engineering designs, specifications, and technical plans.
• Support building automation and energy management initiatives.
• Perform Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs).
• Prepare cost estimates, technical reports, and stakeholder presentations.
• Evaluate compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support campus planning and space utilization studies.

Preferred Qualifications
