Job summary

PKC Group is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Michigan. You will review and update control plans, apply quality statistics tools, and prepare work instructions to monitor processes and drive improvements.

You will ensure adherence to ISO/IATF 16949, lead training for quality technicians, coordinate cross-plant countermeasures, analyze customer complaints, and work with customers on APQP, PPAP, and corrective actions. Travel occasional.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or equivalent experience in related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Review and update Control Plan and prepare reports and presentations for problem solution.
  • Ensure process adheres to the quality system according to ISO/IATF 16949.
  • Lead quality technicians, coordinate and train, develop work procedures.
  • Review documentation for PPAP.
  • Communicate with customer on complaints and improvement opportunities; attend internal and customer meetings on engineering changes, APQP, new projects and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate containment for quality issues and repair actions.
  • Analyze customer complaints for countermeasures and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate cross-department meetings to follow up countermeasures for customer complaints.
  • Other duties as assigned by the plant manager.

  • Responsible for the adherence of the process to the quality system according to the ISO/IATF 16949 standard.

  • Coordinate meetings with the rest of the departments to follow up with countermeasures of customer complaints.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or Equivalent Experience in related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience
Knowledge & Skills
  • Preparation of control plan, CORE TOOL, (SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP, PFEMA), ISO/IATF16949, Reading of blueprints
  • Specific customer requirements, problem solution techniques, 8D’s, FTQ, SCRAP, PPMS, 5WH, 5’s
  • Develop actions plans, Gantts and management of databases
