Job summary

MetalTek International, located just outside St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure plantwide compliance to contract specifications and to establish compliant procedures and quality plans.

The role supports viewing MIL, ASME, ASTM, AMS standards and helps interpret data for production. The candidate will manage qualifications, interact with customers on product compliance data, and drive improvement projects across the foundry operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Quality Systems in manufacturing environments.
• Manufacturing/foundry experience preferred.
• Experience with Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) is desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, interpret, and clarify customer specifications and maintain compliance.
• Respond to non-compliance, determine corrective actions with customer and team.

Special projects such as the Pentagon Memorial, fusion power research, and petrochemical fired heater projects have made us an important metals partner around the world. We have over 300 alloy compositions including proprietary and patented alloys, as well as advanced development and mechanical patents improving the performance and life of castings. In addition to industry standard alloys, MetalTek regularly works with customers to modify grades to deliver the performance needed for their application and environment.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Quality Engineer to ensure plantwide compliance to contract specifications and to establish compliant procedures and quality plans. MetalTek-Carondelet supplies castings to a variety of high-compliance industries, working to multiple combinations of customer specifications along with MIL, ASME, ASTM, AMS, and a variety of supporting industrial, national, and international standards and regulatory requirements. This position will play a key role in our continued support of our customers through timely and accurate interpretations, accurate submittals streamlining the approval process, and clear instructions to our manufacturing personnel.

Requirements

• Experience with Quality Systems for a minimum of 2 years
• Manufacturing experience required (Foundry experience preferred)
• Experience in Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer skills are required
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Field is a plus; but not required
