Job summary

Renaissance St. Louis Airport is seeking a hotel maintenance team member to handle painting, plumbing, electrical tasks and routine repairs. You will replace filters, tend to HVAC equipment, boilers and cooling towers to ensure guest comfort.

You will also maintain pool areas, balance chemicals, and deliver quality guest service while responding quickly to guest requests and concerns.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 70+ pounds and perform physical tasks.
• General knowledge of hotel operations and safety regulations.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math and computer tasks.
• High school diploma and relevant training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance: painting, plumbing, electrical as needed.
• Replace air conditioner filters and service HVAC equipment.
• Maintain air conditioners, cooling towers, boilers for guest comfort.
• Ensure quality guest service and problem resolution.
• Maintain pool area including chemical balancing and cleaning.
• Respond to guest requests and address concerns promptly.

Description

• Assist with maintaining hotel, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.


• Replace air conditioner filters.


• Tend to air conditioners, cooling towers and boilers to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.


• Maintain standards of quality guest service.


• Tend to pool area including chemical balancing, cleaning, etc.


• Increase level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development.


• Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.

Requirements

• Minimum lifting of 70 pounds.


• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.


• Hearing, writing, typing.


• Minimum pulling of 70 pounds.


• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.


• Must have a knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.


• Must have good mathematical and computer skills.


• High school education and relevant training and experience preferred.


• CPR training and first aid training preferred.


• Additional language ability preferred.
