Job summary

StepStone Hospitality in Clayton, MO is seeking a maintenance professional to support daily hotel upkeep. You will perform routine repairs, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks to maintain property standards and guest comfort.

The role includes HVAC filter replacement, pool area maintenance, and responding to guest requests with a courteous, proactive approach. Candidates should communicate effectively in English and stay compliant with hotel policies.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of performing general hotel maintenance tasks with safety in mind.
• Ability to read and understand basic procedures and notes in English.
• Experience in building maintenance, repairs, and routine servicing is preferred.
• Familiarity with hotel departments and functions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining hotel, performing minor painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and related maintenance tasks.
• Replace air conditioner filters and perform routine HVAC basic checks.
• Maintain air conditioning, cooling towers and boilers to ensure guest comfort.
• Maintain standards of quality guest service.
• Tend to pool area including chemical balancing and cleaning.
• Respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous manner.
• Follow all hotel policies and procedures; report information accurately.
• Attend required meetings and complete assigned projects professionally.
• Adapt to high-pressure conditions and show willingness to change.

• Assist with maintaining hotel, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.


• Replace air conditioner filters.


• Tend, air conditioners, cooling towers and boilers to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.


• Maintain standards of quality guest service.


• Tend to pool area including chemical balancing, cleaning, etc.


• Increase level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development.


• Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.


• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.


• Ability to accurately report information.


• Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.
