Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, seeks a Lead Test Engineer to synthesize customer contractual needs into robust test solutions for complex systems. You will develop and direct comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules and coordinate integrated testing activities.

The role requires evaluating test requirements, ensuring completeness, and performing in-depth technical analysis of complete systems to support Navy programs. On-site work with competitive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

  • Must have Lead Test Engineer (LTE) or Ship Safety Officer (SSO) or Watch Supervisor or Watch Officer Certification; plus Trade REC Certification (TRC) and Trade REC Oversight Agent (TROA) Certification; and 4 years of relevant professional/exempt experience.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize customer contractual needs into system test solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for completing systems.
  • Coordinate integrated testing activities; review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of the test program; perform technical analysis of complete systems.

The Role

Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.


Must Have
