Job summary

Elevance Health in Grand Prairie, TX invites an Engineer Lead to drive end-to-end system development on enterprise platforms. reporting to Enterprise team, you will lead requirements discovery, design reviews, and delivery across web and data services with Java/NodeJS and Angular UI.

You will mentor teams, manage changes, ensure unit and system testing, and coordinate on-call support within a hybrid work model accepting virtual participation and weekly on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related.
• Seven (7) years in any occupation with engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements.
• Leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs with the business.
• Leads efforts with Web and marketing team to increase the presence of web products.
• May implement improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems.
• May implement process to reduce barriers and roadblocks in projects, services, and processes in order to operate more efficiently.
• Owns the change request process and coordinates with other teams as necessary.
• Develops and owns list of final enhancements.
• Develops and defines application scope and objectives and supervises the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.
• Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
• Ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.
• Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning effort.
• Coordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process.
• Owns the technical development environment and works on the Enterprise team.
• Leads multiple or large projects and facilitates large group JAD sessions for requirements, modeling in several disciplines.
• Leads vendor evaluation and analysis.

Location: Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location at 2505 N Highway 360, Suite 300, Grand Prairie, TX 75050.

Virtual: This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, except for required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related
• Seven (7) years in any occupation with engineering or related experience.

Experience Requirements

• Seven (7) years in any occupation with engineering or related experience must include:
• Multi-dimensional platform experience;
• Experience with business and technical applications;
• Developing Restful webservices using Java/NodeJS;
• Designing and developing UI/UX for web applications using Angular;
• Developing Custom Data Models for DB’s such as MongoDB;
• Data Science;
• AI/ML; and
• Cloud Technologies such as AWS.
