Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Engineer L2 in Raymond, OH to join the automotive chassis team. You will design and develop components, create robust 3D CATIA V6 models, and produce precise 2D drawings with GD&T while collaborating across engineering and suppliers.

You’ll manage multiple projects, write technical reports, and contribute to development schedules in a structured environment with onsite presence in Raymond, OH.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related engineering/design experience in automotive component design.
• CATIA V6 proficiency with strong solid modeling and robust practices.
• Ability to create and interpret 2D drawings with GD&T and DFM principles.
• Ability to analyze technical problems, interpret basic CAE results, and communicate recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive chassis components, including suspension/steering, subframes, engine mounts, wheels, brakes, fuel/exhaust, and related systems.
• Develop 3D designs using CATIA V6 and create solid models reflecting design intent.
• Create and interpret 2D drawings, applying GD&T and design-for-manufacturability principles.
• Work with suppliers to ensure parts/services are requested, evaluate proposals, and write technical reports.
• Handle multiple projects while supporting development schedules and reporting research/test results in technical formats.

What's the Job?

• Design and develop automotive chassis components, including suspension/steering, subframes, engine mounts, wheels, brakes, fuel/exhaust, and related systems
• Develop robust 3D designs using CATIA V6 and create solid models that reflect design intent
• Create and interpret 2D engineering drawings, applying GD&T and design-for-manufacturability principles
• Work with suppliers to ensure parts/services are requested appropriately, evaluate technical proposals, and write technical reports
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously while supporting established development schedules, reporting research and test results in technical formats

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of related engineering/design experience, including automotive component design and development
• CATIA V6 proficiency, including strong solid modeling capability and robust modeling practices
• Ability to create and interpret 2D engineering drawings with working knowledge of GD&T and design-for-manufacturability
• Ability to independently analyze technical problems, interpret basic CAE results (e.g., stiffness and natural-frequency analysis), and communicate engineering recommendations with moderate supervision
