KellyMitchell is seeking an Engineer, IT End User Security to join the Technology Risk Management team. The role focuses on end user security operations, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and maintaining a secure computing environment.

Contract position for 18 weeks in Fort Worth, TX, with a hybrid work arrangement (onsite 3 days/week). Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and security experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in cybersecurity engineering or similar security role
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience supporting end user or endpoint security environments
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new security technologies and processes

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain end user security technologies and controls across the enterprise
• Monitor and respond to endpoint security events, threats, and incidents
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Defender for Endpoint and related security tools
• Investigate security issues and provide technical support to resolve endpoint and browser security concerns
• Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to address security risks
• Communicate security incidents, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives, security standards, and processes while supporting continuous improvement

Job Summary

Our client, a leading airline provider, is seeking an Engineer, IT End User Security, to join their Technology Risk Management team. This role will support end user security operations, with a focus on Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, technical troubleshooting, customer service, and maintaining a secure computing environment.

Contract Details

Type: Contract

Duration: 18 weeks

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - onsite 3 days per week

Interview Process: Virtual and in-person

Hours: 8 hours per day

Core Responsibilities

• Support and maintain end user security technologies and controls across the enterprise
• Monitor and respond to endpoint security events, threats, and incidents
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and related security tools
• Investigate security issues and provide technical support to resolve endpoint and browser security concerns

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related technical security role
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience supporting end user or endpoint security environments
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new security technologies and processes

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Experience with browser security
• Experience with cloud security technologies
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud security features
• Experience with security monitoring and incident response
• Experience with cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, or ISO 27001
• Airline industry experience

Work Environment

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $32.00 and $45.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
