Job summary

NWU is seeking a Mechanical Engineering student to operate and maintain a 3D printer and design/custom tooling using both conventional methods and 3D printing.

You will create SolidWorks models and drawings, support machine improvements, and assist with troubleshooting and repairs. Some travel to facilities for on-site work may be required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering student with a 3.0+ GPA in major.
• CAD modeling experience, ideally SolidWorks.
• 3D printing experience with Cura software.
• Lathe and vertical mill experience is a plus.
• Experience in robotics, catapult, HPVC teams, or personal projects.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Mechanical Engineering student of sophomore standing or higher with at least a 3.0 GPA in major.
• CAD modeling experience, ideally with SolidWorks.
• 3D printing experience, including familiarity with Cura software.
• Manual lathe and vertical mill experience is a plus.
• Design and build experience, such as participation in robotics, catapult, or HPVC teams, or personal projects.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate of $18 to $21, depending on qualifications and experience.
