Job summary

Stfrancis in Watertown, NY seeks an engineering intern/co-op to support daily production needs, analyze tests, and contribute to design and documentation. You will work with a global engineering team using SolidWorks and Office tools, developing practical, safe, and quality-focused improvements.

You will enhance your CAD skills, participate in lean processes, and gain exposure to prototype parts, drawings, and supplier interactions, with potential for future full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in CAD/SolidWorks.
• Nice to have: experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong orientation towards safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Commitment to Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to analyze problems and develop practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the on-staff Engineering Team focusing on daily production needs such as problem resolution and value improvements.

• Collaborate with team members from global locations, including more than 50 manufacturing sites worldwide.
