Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior DevOps Engineer to design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for MacOS applications. You will reduce developer toil, automate remediation, and collaborate across global teams to accelerate delivery for millions of users.

Requirements include 8–12 years in DevOps, strong Python/Java/Go, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Qualifications

Must have 8–12 years of DevOps experience with software development focus.
Experience administering MacOS hosts and CI/CD dependencies (Swift, Xcode, MacOS package management).
Proficient in OOP languages (Python, Java, Groovy, Go).
Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar CI tools.
Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
Cloud knowledge (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Strong Git workflows and Bitbucket or GitLab SCM experience.
Familiarity with AI technologies to enhance decisions and workflows.
Excellent communication across global teams; strong troubleshooting and documentation.
Knowledge of security practices in software development.

Job description

Develop scalable CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions for MacOS applications using modern DevOps toolchains
Create MacOS application self-service tools and frameworks within the CI/CD space to reduce developer toil and accelerate delivery cycles
Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation for owned services
Partner with engineering teams to establish best practices and provide technical guidance through pipeline creation and optimization
Design, build, and optimize CI/CD workflows that power software delivery for millions of customers worldwide

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen or US Permanent Resident
Experience administering and troubleshooting MacOS-based hosts and CI/CD dependencies, including Swift, Xcode, and MacOS native package management
Strong coding abilities using an OOP language such as Python, Java, Groovy, or Go
8–12 years of DevOps experience with a strong focus on software development
Hands-on enterprise experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms
Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure services and architecture patterns
SCM experience including advanced Git workflows and branching strategies, including Bitbucket or GitLab
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
Excellent communication skills for working across global, distributed teams
Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting capabilities
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure development practices
Self-motivated to stay current with evolving technologies and industry best practices
Attention to detail with emphasis on documentation, testing, and maintainable solutions
Bonus: Configuration management experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt
